I have been playing for 30 years and had only sniffed a hole-in-one a few times on short par three's. After my good friends and club Pros Billy and Ricky Neal hooked me up with my Titleist wedges, irons and woods I felt a new confidence in every shot. I always dreamed that my first hole-in-one would been of substance and quality so I could talk about it with pride...well, I have had four eagles on par fours and have had two shots on short par three's where part of my Pro-V 1 is looking down into the hole leaving me conflicted, partly wanting that first hole-in-one and partly glad because these were 100 and 125 yard holes.
Well finally arrived at the part 3 of 210 yards over a deep swell with the pin tucked in the back right corner of the green near the trap and proceeded to rip my 3 iron at the trap with a slight draw which took one bounce and checked and rolled left towards the flag, from where we were we could not tell what happened to the ball when it went out of sight so in my mind I figured there was a lower part behind the green and I couldn't see the ball. We drove down and then back up to the green and there was no ball on the back and the other players were still saying it was in the hole...nervously walked up to the hole and looked down, my Dream had Come True! There in the bottom of the cup was my Pro-V 1looking up at me on a 210 yard par 3! I was happy that my best friend was with me to share as I had been with my Dad years ago when he got his first.
What a feeling!!
