Extraordinary Day in California
By Patricia M On 6 October 2012
On a fine October afternoon, I finished my round on No.1, as I had started the round on No.2
Skipping No.2, I decided to play No.3 with the boys, just for fun, and then head in. Well I ended up with a spectacular ace, and had to then keep playing to make it legit.
We, a group of 22 players are in a local hole in one club. We all have agreed to give 100.00 to anyone who receives a hole in one, only if it is in a 9 or 18 hole round. There is only two women in the club, and I am super proud to say, I am the first winner in our newly formed Hole in One Club !!
So I had to keep playing and completed nine holes for the integrity of our agreement. So 27 holes were played in total this day.
What a great day. It was a par 3 over a barranca, to a back blue pin location.
I estimate the yardage was 170, with carry and back pin. I hit a 21 degree hybrid, it rolled up and disappeared into the cup !
It is my second one on this golf course. the first came in 2000, in a charity event.
I won a 2000 Ford Ranger on this occasion.
Both times I used a Titleist.
I LOVE THIS GAME !
