I took a few days off this summer, and coincidentally both my youngest brother and my youngest son had asked me to take them out golfing. Neither of them have played more than a few times and my brother's house backs up against the Drumm Golf Club - he thought he should play at least one round on "his" course and figured I was the logical guide to help him acccomplish this feat.
I called the course and told them about this potentially slow-moving threesome and a suitable gap for us was arranged.
It was a bit trying at times but I really was having a great day with my son and brother and then on 17 I hit a perfect 7 iron that was on-track all the way.
I'd waited 35 years for that hole in one to happen and to have done it with my son and brother as witnesses made it an even greater experience.
