Just turned 65, playing for over 30 years. Still have a semi-decent game in the mid-80's. Scared many par 3's over the years, then finally it happened. Third hole at Silver Lakes GC. Plays between 120 and 135 yards. All carry over a pond to a heavily bunkered green. I've lost count of the balls that have ended up wet. Took one more club than I usually do, nice easy swing, five feet from the pin and suddenly NO BALL! Finally one more check mark on my bucket list.
