Upon hitting a good shot, I said "get inside" (the league closest to the pin marker, which was at 3'), but we could not see the hole. While walking up, I spotted a ball next to the closest to the pin marker and remarked that it appeared as if my ball may have hit the marker to stay inside of it for $22. When I got closer, I realized that the ball I was looking at was not yellow. When I got closer still, I could not see my ball anywhere and figured it must be in the hole, but tried to be open for another result. My buddies started saying that I'd better look in the hole, which I let them do while I looked on. I took some heat from my league members for not getting in on the hole in one pool. Now, they're giving me more grief about it, but are more relieved that the $1600 is still there to be won.
