First 'Ace' in My 22 Years of Golf

On Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Heron Bay Golf and Country Club (my home course) in Locust Grove, GA, I made my first ever hole in one on #3 Par 3, 156 yards (flag was in the back). I was the last person on the tee box. As I was recovering from recent surgery and had not been working out, I selected my Taylor Made R7 CGB driver to hit a Titleist Pro VI ball with water to the right of the green and sand traps to the left. The shot, a low one, bounced once in the middle of the green and rolled up the hill into the hole. I was reaching to the ground to retrieve my tee and Wow! People shouted and cheered while I grinned from ear to ear, not believing what I just did. Witnesses to the exciting feat were the other members of my threesome, (Mattie Peterson and JoAnn Timms), the threesome behind us, and the foursome about to tee off on hole #4. It was a beautiful day; residents who live at Heron Bay were milling about and also witnessed the shot. Check that one off my bucket list! (Note: Can someone tell me how to get the pics off my phone and onto my laptop). I'm a senior citizen!!!
