First Ace For An Old Guy

After having played golf for 56 years (am now 68), it finally happened. While visiting my sister and brother in law in North Carolina, we played the Azalea and Dogwood nines on the course in the Brunswick Plantation community, Calabash N.C. Having shot a terrible 9 on the previous hole, I was feeling down, so decided to just pick a club for the shot and swing away - forgetting mechanics. My five iron shot flew high and right toward the hole. My brother in law, Bob, commented "that sure looks good". But on approaching the green we saw no ball. Looked in the trap -short - and all around the back of the green, while carrying my putter and chipping clubs. Finally, Bob looked in the hole, and there was my Titleist NXT ball. I dropped my clubs in shock, while my wife ran across the green and gave me a big hug. I saved the ball for mounting and have a picture removing it from the hole. What a thrill!!
