First Ever Hole in One at The Links at Hiawatha

It was about 7:10pm and fellow TT member Mike Manley and I were trying to finish our round at The Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, NY before the thunder storm ruined our fun. We got to the 17th tee and a Father with his 3 children had come out on the bank above the tee box from the big tent where they hold wedding receptions to watch us tee off on the 180 yd difficult par 3. Mike had the box and hit his shot pin high on the right side of the green. I stepped in and pured my 24* Titleist 910h. The Father exclaimed, "it's all over the pin!" The shot looked good to us, but I though I might have hit it a little too good and flew the green right over the pin. When Mike and I got to the green, I started looking for the ball over the back to no avail. I reversed my steps toward the hole. I saw a pitch mark directly 2 feet in front of the hole so I looked in and sure enough, It's in there! I heard the father yell, "did it go in?" I held up my arm with a big thumbs up! He applauded and so did the kids. He disappeared back into the wedding reception tent and a whole bunch of spectators came out to watch Mike and I finish on the 18th. The all congratulated me on the "Hole-in-One"! I never saw it go in, that was too bad. Thanks Titleist, Vokey and Cameron for making the best equipment and balls on the market today. I'd also like to say that the fitting process I experienced at TPI in Oceanside, CA was worth every penny. I got an "ACE", finally!
