I moved to GA a year and 1/2 ago. Joined Sun City Peachtree Golf Club, and play in the Ladies Association. This was a normal Ladies Association day, with a shotgun start. We started on hole #15, and the next hole, #16 is a long par 3 up a hill with traps guarding both sides. The pin was front right and tucked behind a trap. I hit a beautiful high shot that landed soft, rolled toward the pin and appeared to disappear. We weren’t sure if it went in because from our angle we couldn’t see. A lot of joking that it’s probably just sitting on the edge of cup because that’s happened to me many times already. I had to drive up above the green to even see that it wasn’t on the green, but actually in the cup! That’s when the yelling and celebration commenced. This is my 5th hole in one.....but my first one at my new club in Georgia. Everyone is exciting! Lucky for me, I was in the Club’s Hole in One club...so it was a profitable HIO as well.
