First Hole in One!

I was out playing with my best friend who I don't see very often and trying to make certain I overcame all the strokes I had to give him in our match. With a comfortable lead we approached the par 3, 13th at Twin Hills CC in Longmeadow, MA. It was our first time playing the course and the par 3 was slightly uphill. After shooting 142 on the range finder, which considering the elevation change was a perfect nine iron, I aimed right at the flag. I drew back my AP2 and hit it just how I wanted and it was flying right at it. It landed so slightly right of the pin but I could see it bounce just a little to the left. Being uphill, I wouldn't find the final resting place until I got to the hole. As I approached the green I peered over the crest and didn't see any balls on the green, only my friends shot which I knew was over. I went back in my mind and thought about the yardage, wind and swing and knew there was no way it went over the back. A few more steps and I could see the ball mark, about 3 feet shy of the cup. A peered over the edge of the hole to find my pro v1x at the bottom. I yelled back to my friend "it's in the hole" but it took it a second to really comprehend what I meant. We took a few pictures and had to move on as a group was about to approach the next tee. It really didn't sink it as we continued to play the rest of the round. We had some beers then went on our way. Having finally made a hole in one after 20 years playing, it makes me feel like every time I step up to a par 3 the next one might go in as well.
