I've been close, really close before, but it finally happened. After 32 years of playing this maddening game we all love, I've got my first Hole-In-One! Last week I watched my ball roll past the hole, inches to the left, on this same hole. Only downside was I didn't see it go in, the pin was tucked up front left behind the bunker, a small mound blocked our view of the hole. The ball headed straight for the flag and we didn't see it roll into view. When we got in the cart, my playing partner said "I don't want to jinx it, but i think I saw the flag rattle." Approaching the green there was no ball near the flag, that walk seemed to take forever. There was my #72 sitting at the bottom of the cup!
