First Hole-In-One at last!!
By Richard L On 20 October 2016
I have been playing golf for about 12 years and have always wished for my first hole-in-one to happen. Both my husband and son have plaques hanging to commemorate theirs. I was playing a friendly round with my friend Trish when I got to the fifth hole at Grand Haven, our Jack Nicklaus Signature home course in Palm Coast. I used my 24 degree Titleist 910H hybrid because there was a little breeze and our tees were set back as far as they could go on the ladies green tee box. Trying to remember all of the instructions that my husband and assorted golf pros have given me through the years I "moved the V" like Adam, got my shoulder under my chin like Annika and watched the club hit the ball like my dear husband has been telling me for 12 years. Well, it worked and the Titleist NXT Tour S landed right on the green a few feet in front of the pin. Trish and I yelled "get in the hole" and lo and behold the ball listened and started to roll "just like on t.v." toward the pin with accelerating motion struck the flagstick, popped up and in. Screams could be heard on all adjoining holes. What excitement!!
