First Hole in One in 55yrs of golfing

Was six over through 14 holes and feeling rather ho-hum about my round. #15 at Widgi Creek in Bend Oregon is a 143yd par 3 with bunkers left, right and behind the green. A deep swale front right can catch a lot of mis-hits. The pin was middle and the wind was thankfully down when we approached the tee. I told myself as I usually do on this hole, "put this one in". I chose 9-iron and struck it very solidly. As it flew towards the green I remember saying, "get close". The ball hit about 3-4 feet in front of the hole, took one hop and went in (pitch mark is visible on photo). At first I wasn't sure it was in but one of my playing partners said, "it's in the hole!" While I was extremely pleased with how I had hit the shot, I was somewhat subdued in my reaction at the time. I was also happy to make birdie on the next hole, a long-ish Par 4 dogleg left (using the same ball). I finished the round with that ball (Pro V1x #2) but now am trying to decide whether to retire it or let it play on?
