First Hole in One -- Nebraska Winter

It is the middle of Winter in Nebraska and we get a 48 degree day. Decided to try and play even with a little wind which made the Real Feel temp. in the mid. 40's. Only a few courses were even open. So we decided to play at the Pioneers Golf Club. Since I hadn't touched a golf club for 2 months I wasn't expecting much. To my surprise it was like I had never stopped playing. I have to admit that I got a custom set of Titleist AP 2's last summer (2016) which have done wonders for my game. It was the 7th hole a blind shot up hill and into a slight breeze. Because I typically have a slight fade I had to take my shot almost over the right hand side of a tree and let the wind bring it into the flag. The range finder indicated it was 135/140yds so I played it 145 which is a smooth 8 iron for me. As I made my shot my friend Brian jokingly said it was in the cup,, we both laughed until we got to the flag. Who would have thought.
