First hole in one. On a really hard Par 3, too.

I was playing a practice round for a tournament this past Sunday at Sedgefield Country Club's Dye Course in Greensboro, NC. I was only my 3rd round since switching to the new 2015 Pro V1X. We reached the 12th hole at Sedgefield. This hole has a plaque as you reach the tee with a quote from Pete Dye the course designer saying "the hardest par three I ever designed". Me and my buddy joked as we passed the plaque, little did I know I was about to to hit one of the best shots of my life. The hole played 171 yards this day with a little bit of wind behind us. I had 7 iron in my hand as I walked up to the tee. I watched my buddy hit 7 iron and roll over the green. I went back to the cart and got 8 iron. I hit the 8 iron, it did not leave the flag the whole flight. It landed three feet short of the cup then disappeared. I finally had my first hole in one and on the hardest par three I have ever played. Thanks Titleist for making a great golf ball.
