I usually play Pro V 1 ball but have a wedding in July and needed to save some money. I purchased the NXT Tour balls and played my first round with them on April 29th at Speidel Golf Course/Olgebay in Wheeling, West Virginia. It was my 4th round of the year and I just adjusted my Titleist 910 D2 driver the previous week. I hit the ball great off the tee all day. When I reached number 13 which is a Par 4, 278 yard hole, I wanted to hit the green. I have accomplished this in the past on the same hole. There was a deer walking about 50 yards in front of the tee box and would not move. I decided to hit he ball and knew it was a great shot and could make the green. I hit a draw and aimed to right. The ball hits the right side of the green and bounces 2 or 3 times into the cup. I could not see if it went in or was behind the pin. I video taped from the tee box to the hole to prove it really happened. The cart was parked in front of the white tees so the GPS said 264 yards so it was between 278 and 264 yards. I told the clubhouse it was 264 because that was the only number I remember seeing on my way to the hole. My friend said he saw it go in but I did not beleive it until I saw it in the hole. When I got the hole, my heart stopped and it didnt seem real. It was a great day except for the excitement hurt my game after the hole in one. I will continue to play NXT Tour balls until after the wedding.
