We are playing in the Pinehurst area for the 8th straight year in our own little tournament On the third hole the first day My life long friend says "Never been a hole in one in the Sweet Potato Cup".... says this for each member of the foursome.... except me. I have been playing terrible coming up to this week. He says No way you make it dude. I hit the ball and it feels different.... I actually hit it good. the green is giant with big slopes the ball hits the green spins directly down the slope hard right and disappears into the hole. There was a foursome on the green at 2, another in the fairway at 2 yet another on the tee box on four. All within ear shot. I screamed so loud they heard me in Raleigh.

We would go to the Ryder Cup Bar Lounge later that evening and two of my so-called friends would order $30 dollar drinks. I tell them I would have bought you beer all night long but because you went top shelf you get but one drink..... I have the credit card bill framed in my office.
