There is a group of guys from the Mebane, NC area who go to Southern Pines every year during the weekend of the ACC Basketball tournament in March . This year we went for an extra day since we got snowed out last year on Sunday. I had made double on the first hole so I was just hoping to make solid contact on the next tee. Mission accomplished, I hit it pretty well. As I watched, the ball hit the hump on the left front portion of the green and fed right down and into the hole. I let out a loud yell and the neighboring groups all started clapping and giving me a thumbs up. The group playing in front of us verified that it had definitely gone in. As we got to the green, they told me that they had just commented to each other that they would hate to make a hole-in-one with this group as it would be pretty costly. It was. There were eighteen of us this year. It was worth every penny of it.
