After 43 years of playing golf and 28 of those years in the golf business, I finally made my first hole in one!
Through thousands of rounds and par 3s played,I have dug out several cups and hit many flagsticks with balls resting all around the hole, but never in! For years I have heard, "so, you're a golf pro and you have never made a hole in one?" Well, now I have! Witnessed by my boss and members of my club on our signature hole #13 at White Bluff Old Course. My AP 2 8 iron from 154 never left the flag and my Pro V1X #8 one hopped in the hole. A thrilling moment that is a great start to 2012!
