My wife and I, along with another couple, were playing the Crenshaw course at Barton Creek Resort in Austin Tx on the 27th of February. On hole #8 you could see the top of the flag, but not the hole. After my buddy and I hit our shots, the ladies teed 'em up. Barbara hit a nice shot with her driver, then Marilynn, my wife, hit her driver and also hit a good shot. When we got to the hole we could see a ball that was just 4 inches from the hole! It was Barbara's ball so she birdied the hole. We kept looking for Marilynn's ball for a few minutes, finally Barbara told Dan to look in the hole. Sure enough, Dan pulled the ball out of the hole and said "Here it is!" Marilynn just stood there, sort of stunned, finally realizing that she had just recorded her first Hole-In-One! Then it erupted!! She has been playing just nine years! Pretty proud of her. Interestingly, with another roll of Barbara's ball there could have been two!
