High Handi Ace

I was on a golf trip to the Ruidoso, NM, area with several other high-handicapped ladies. The final round of our trip was at Kokopelli Club and we were playing a shotgun start. I made it to hole #6, a straightforward 95-yarder. I hit my pink ball with my 9 iron and was surprised and impressed that it actually went into the air with a nice arc. The ball landed about 3 feet in front of the hole and rolled. I lost sight of the ball and thought to myself, "It must be obscured by the pin." I moved off the tee box to get a better look at where my ball ended up. I still couldn't see it. One of my foursome shouted, "It went in! It's a Hole in One!" I was too stunned to shout, but the rest of the foursome made up for it!
