Starting the weekend of by playing a round of golf with great friends on a Friday afternoon. Going into the 3rd hole on the front nine, it was setting at 178 yards on the right side of green. Normally with ideal conditions, I would use a seven iron to get on to the middle of the green. The pin was set up behind a deep sand trap (in front of the green) and a grass mount behind the green with a water creek directly behind the grass mount. The weather conditions was cloudy with wind gusting from the southeast varying from 15 to 19 mph, hitting us directly at our faces. With these conditions I decided to club up and went with a five wood in order to fly the sand trap. I aimed for the middle of the green and the ball flight coming down was directly on top of the flag. Once the ball landed on the green, we couldn't tell if it landed in front or behind the flag/cup. Once everyone else hit their shot and we got on the green, my ball was nowhere to be found on the green. So we went over to the cup and there it was in the cup with the flag. That was the first time my friends and I experience a Hole in One.
