Hole in 1 on Hole 8

Playing from the white tees at the Eagle Vail Golf Club in Avon, CO. I walked to the 8th tee box and was waiting for the green to clear. I had my Titleist Vokey 52 degree wedge for the 105 yard uphill Par 3 shot. The Hole just opened earlier in the year and it is a fun short Par 3, but with a blind Green. You can usually see about half to three quarters of the stick only from the box. I took some good practice swings and then placed my ball and hit what I thought was a good shot.

I drove up to the green and looked over to the putting surface to see what kind of putt I was facing and did not see a ball. I thought "no way, I knew I had hit a good shot, where is the ball?". Then I thought maybe it just rolled off and so I looked around at the rough and fringe to no Avail. So, I thought to look in the Hole, and there it was. I pointed at it and started jumping up and down and screaming like a little kid! Thank god, the Ranger was on an adjacent tee box or it would have been unwitnessed.

My first ever Hole in 1 and tell you the truth I am glad it was with a Pro V1x #2. I am hooked and will never switch. Thanks Titleist and thanks Rich for being there.
