Hole in one at 70 yr old
By George R On 30 April 2018
My Step Father had an accident April 15, 2001 when a mirror came lose while he was moving a piece of furniture which severed the nerves in his right arm. This destroyed the mobility in his right hand due to nerve damage. He would have to rehab for years to finally get his hand to somewhat straighten out. Loving the game of golf as he does, he learned to compensate his grip barely having the use of his right hand. After moving to the Villages, FL he continued to play golf but never could get back to playing like he used to play. Finally learning a new grip he tried it out for the 1st time on 2 April 2018 and on the 4th hole he teed off hole #4 and hit a shot the landed short of the green but ran up on the green and trickled down, hit the pin and went in. This was his 1st Hole in one and completely renewed his love for the game. He now plays more often then not because he is not frustrated like he was not being able to play like he used to. The mere change of a grip to adjust for his right hand made all the difference
