Hole-in-One at the Nine

Last year I retired at the age of 56 and I decided to take golf lessons. My instructor Autumn Gilliam was a manager/pro at the local University of New Mexico and she explaind the game well. I love the game, there are times I hate the game, but overall I love the game. I bought a set of Rocket Bladez and I really like the way they play. I have tried different golf balls and recently purchased a 12 pack of Titleist DT Solo golf balls. I marked this golf ball with a three leaf shamrock and it proved to be lucky. My friend Luanne, who is also retired, joined me for a game at the Arroyo del Oso Dam Nine course in Albuquerque. I started out terrible but was warming up. On the 6th hole, which is a par 3 with a distance of 150 yards, I pulled out my 8 iron and went through the ritual. I intentionally slowed down swing and made sure I kept my head down. When I hit the ball it felt good and I said out loud "there it is!" As it hit the green and started rolling toward the hole Luanne yelled "it's a hole ... in ... ONE!" My eyesight is not so good and I lost sight before it got to the hole. I was not sure until I saw it in the cup. It was awesome!
Now I will probably be hitting Titleist for a long time.
