On September 7, 2016 I played golf at Princeville Makai Golf Course on Kauai, HI. I aced the 14th hole Par 4 from the blue tees. It was a 250 yard shot, with the pin about ten yards in from the leading edge, and right center of the green. I aimed my shot about one yard left of the right edge of the sand trap just left of the green. With a fairly stiff trailing wind that was running from the 7 to 1 o'clock position of the green, I figured that my ball flight would be slightly left to right. My ball flew in the direction I intended and just as it started its downward trajectory, it faded to the right, landed about two feet right of the sand trap, took two hops and landed in the cup. I initially thought the ball might have gone past the pin on my line of sight and off the green, so I brought a wedge and putter because I didn't see the ball on the green. My playing partners were excited and telling me that I had aced it....I walked to the cup and there it was!! The club Pro told me that it was the first ace on that hole, that anyone had ever heard of, and they made a live cast on Facebook with me. A great course, awesome course personnel, and welcoming atmosphere, I will be back!
