I am 73 years old. I took my first golf lesson Thanksgiving week 2013 and started golfing early December 2013. I had never golfed before except for miniature golf. I have been golfing about twice a week since in recreational leagues.. I don't even have a handicap.
Today, on a par 3 hole of 85 yards, I teed off with an 8 iron and a Titleist Velocity ball. The ball hit the green and rolled right into the cup. I think everyone on the course heard me scream. I still can't believe it.
I live in The Villages, Florida, a very active retirement area where golfing is the thing to do so naturally I took up golf. I never expected to be any good and I'm still not, but what a thrill it was to get that hole in one!
