Idlyllic Fall afternoon

An impromptu afternoon round in perfect fall weather was made even better by the company, a best friend bravely battling melanoma, and the fact I recorded my first ace in 15 years of playing. 13 at Raspberry Falls is a great hole with a green that stretches diagnoally for three clubs but is not more than 40 feet deep on any line. I've always told playing partners that you have to pick your club and then believe in it with all your heart. At 152 it was just a perfect smooth AP2 8 iron for me. I aimed it a little right of the flag, cut just over one of Mr. Players bunkers, and stayed on it. My Pro V1 never left my intended line, landed 8 feet short, checked then released into the hole.
