It happened at the right time

The 6th hole at Bay Forest was playing about 160 yards and the pin was located in the center-back portion of the green. There was a bunker front-left and water on right and behind the green. After watching the first player's shot go over the green, I switched from a 5 iron to a 6 iron. The stroke was solid and the ball flew straight at the flag. I was playing a PRO V1 #3, black letter ball and hit it with an AP2 6 iron. I heard the ball hit the flag stick but did not realize that the ball had gone in the hole. Ray Glass said he thought it went over the green also. We went behind the back of the green first, and I told him I could not hit a 6 iron that far. He walked to the hole, looked in, and said, "Here is your ball. Hole-in-one!" This was my first in over 20 years of playing golf.
