I've been playing regularly for around 40 years. I guess I've played 8,000 par 3's and today my number finally came up. It was 153 yards, #4 Grizzley at my home course Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View DE. I hit a pure 7 iron about 5' short that then found the hole. It was so hazy we could not see it all the way but I felt it was close. When we got to the green, I could see the pitch mark but not the ball. I had the fear that it was long but I didn't see anything past the flag. When I looked down in the hole, there it was! I hope the next one isn't 8,000 more away.
