I've been playing golf for 40 years (currently 50 years old). I have been close a few times in my career (within 6") however I had never been fortunate enough to find the "holy grail".

It was a perfect day for golf, low 80s, nice breeze. I used my laser to verify the 100 yard distance. I hit the ball crisply with my gap wedge. The ball took a couple of hops and started rolling toward the hole. I thought "That actually looks pretty good". I continued to watch it roll as I fully expected it to disappear behind the flag and reappear.

Not today! The ball dropped in...I stood there momentarily in amazement and disbelief and then my playing partners and I started yelling and jumping around in celebration.

What a truly amazing feeling - I still can't believe it.
