I am not an avid golfer, but enjoy a round or two a year.
I was playing in a scramble to benefit our local school district at Deerpass Golf Course in Seville, Ohio. I was was player with my two sons and father-in-law on a beautiful October day and were having an average round of golf.
We came to hole number 11, par three, 228 yard shot. I teed off first using a nine iron. I knew I hit it well, but did not see it land.
My son said it was on the green, but could not see the ball either. As we approached the green, we did not see it on the green, so I felt it either bounced off or went over. We first looked behind the green and did not see any ball, so we decided to look in the hole and there it sat, pretty as could be.
It went in on the fly, as the lip of the cup was broken in where the ball went in. The ball, of course, was a Titleist 3.
