Kazim Shrine golfer records his fourth HIO

On a beautiful Fall day, October 9, 2011, with the trees in radiant colors about, I recorded my fourth career HIO on the 6th hole at Cliftondale Country Club in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

Using a 52 degree Cleveland Gap Wedge on a 96 yard par 3, I had a perfect strike that landed a few feet in front of the hole, took one bounce and disappeared. Needless to say, it was the talk of the day in the Clifton Forge Shrine Club Tournament.

In May of 2008, in the New River Valley Shrine Club's Annual Classic, I won a new 2008 Buick Lucerne with my second HIO on hole number 7, a 174 yard par 3 using a six iron. My first HIO was on number 11 at the Auburn Hills GC in Riner, VA and my third one was on number 9 at Goose Creek GC in Leesburg, VA.

Knowing the odds of getting an ace, it just baffles me to think I've had four and many more accomplished players haven't recorded even one.
