I had started playing on the back nine, so coming up to Hole 11 was my 17th hole. I was playing a good round for my handicap. I was third in our group to go. I hit it nicely, and was just elated to see it land on the green beyond the sand traps. The it rolled. We all watched and shouted and jumped for joy in unison. Then I stopped, and said we better double check as it might be just an illusion. But alas, it was in he cup. Yeah to a hole in one.
