I retired just 6 years ago this July and my husband insisted I get a good set of golf clubs and join the ladies golf league. I joined the 9-hole ladies in the Spring of 2005. After learning the game with the 9-holers, the next year I switched over the the 18-hole ladies. I had my first hole-in-one in November 2008 when I played golf with my husband for my first time in Myrtle Beach (the River Club signature hole)! Since then, I had 4 hole-in-ones at my home course, Lake Monticello in Virginia. Two were on hole #3 (94-yard par 3), one on hole #10 (107-yard par 3) and just yesterday hole #8 (158-yard par 3). My husband is amazed that I have been this lucky in just under 4 years! Oh, by the way, did I mention he has been playing for over 40 years and only has 3 hole-in-ones!
