Luck of the Irish "Part 2"

363 Days after her first hole-in-one on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, it happened again! Playing at Orchard Valley Golf Course in Aurora, IL in a 4-person scramble in the Leprechaun Open on St. Patrick’s Day, Kathy Davies got her second hole-in-one (the only female playing in the outing). Kathy pulled up to the 6th hole tee box after she got done with her “pre hole-in-one routine”. Brian, Ryan and I had already teed off and all missed the green. Kathy stated with a laugh “none of you are on the green?” We gave her a distance of 88 yards. Then Kathy pulled out her pitching wedge, teed up her ball…and hit it clean. With a baby draw, her ProV1 started tracking the pin. The four of us watched intensely as her shot was looking really good. Then it happened. Her ball hit the green, spun hard left (about one foot) and disappeared! We all started jumping up and down and we were yelling with joy. Brian even chucked his beer into the air. The group playing behind us also witnessed her fantastic shot and joined the celebration. Needless to say, Kathy won the closest to the pin contest. I can’t wait until St. Patrick’s Day weekend 2019, when I hope to be submitting another of Kathy’s stories to Titleist. -Submitted by her loving husband, Ryan Davies
