A couple co-workers and I went out for a quick 9-hole play on Independence Day this year. As we approached hole 3 I was just happy to be out there playing again as I had not golfed in 6 years. I approached the tee and assessed my shot grabbed a 6-iron and prepared to have to chip and 4 put to save quadruple bogey considering I hadn't played in 6 years. I took the swing and hit the ball solid, off the tee it looked perfect and I saw it hit the green and bounce twice and then lost it. I stopped paying attention after I hit the green because hell I was just happy to be putting for birdy. The other two players with me hit their tee shots and off we went. Before approaching the green I had to wait for one player to hit their approach shot. After that was done I grabbed my putter and off I went to putt for my birdie! Once I got on top of the green I couldn't see my ball, I thought it may have rolled off the back of the green but I wasn't sure. My co-worker told me to check the cup because the shot did look very good. Low and behold I approached the cup and my ball is sitting in the bottom of the cup!!! I pulled the flag stick with excitement and that is the story of my first hole in one!!!
