I was playing a practice round for my Club's (San Clemente Men's Golf Club) upcoming Thursday Team play opener at Costa Mesa Country Club. I had not played for about a week, I was sore and stiff all day even though it was a warm and sunny day. I was not able to really hit a decent shot all day or so it seemed. Normally on the 15th at Costa Mesa I would hit my 3 rescue but since I was hitting the ball so poorly, I decided to over club and choke down a little. I didn't hit the ball all that well but since I had over clubbed it was enough. I didn't see the ball go in because I bent down to retrieve my tee and sort of ignored the whole thing. One of my playing partners, Tim Flaherty, watched all the way into the hole. I thought the ball had gone over the green, but sure enough there it was in the bottom of the hole. Not too many people were in the club house so the tab was not very high, but I was because of making number 6.
