My first hole in one was at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino, Ca on the par 3 12th hole that measured 223 yards that I flew a 4 wood into the cup on the fly, which was witnessed by the assistant pro.
This hole-in-one was on a blind, dog leg left par 4, 313 yards long. I had played a horrible front side and self medicated at the turn. I got up to the 10th tee and had to get on my hands and knees to try and see the green through the trees. There was some wind 7-10 mph down and a little from the right. I made an easy swing and launched it. I told my partners I hit it well, it was on a good line and it should be good. After everyone teed off we trundled down the fairway. My cart partner had 45 yards or so to the green. We waited for the 2 other players in our group to approach I walked up by the green side bunker to see if I could see my ball because I could not see it on the green. It was not in the bunker, but I saw a ball directly behind the pin about 65-70 feet from the pin and off the green by about 2 feet. I walked back to the cart and told my cart partner my ball was just over the green. His chip came up just short of the green. I dropped him off and took the cart around to the side of the green. I grabbed my wedge and putter and headed towards the ball at the back of the green. When I got there I could clearly see it was not mine. My cart partner decided to go ahead and get on the green and chipped it in. While he retrieved his ball, I headed towards the back of the property. I turned around to see my cart partner pull my ball out of the hole, the last place I would have looked!
