I had never had a hole in one, several close shots but no luck. I was playing in a tournament and hitting the ball pretty good. Came to the 17th hole. Par 3, 220 yrds a little down hill with a slight wind coming at us. I hit a 5 wood with a little right to left movement. I looked at my group and said I think that might be close. I lost track of the ball as it neared the green. The person watching the hole along with the players on 18 started yelling a screaming, "it is in the hole" I was not sure if I was hearing them correctly until one of the marshals signaled that it was in fact a hole in one.
