My First Hole in One - 31613

Saturday July 7, 2012

I was playing with my friend Brian Lent with an early 7 AM start. On the 110 yard par 3 forth hole I hit my gap wedge which landed just over the raised bunker and landed on the front of the green. It was hidden from view at first, then it appeared rolling toward the hole. Brian said: "It move the flag stick, IT'S A HOLE IN ONE!"

I wasn't as sure as we could still see the ball. When we got to the green, we saw the ball resting against the flagstick. Brian went crazy with excitement. I was in disbelief that this could happen to me. Brian ended up with a 7 as he hit from trap to trap, still raving.

It was so great to have Brian with me, as he made it even more exciting! I am so thrilled to have made my 1st "Hole in One".

I was even luckier than many, as due to our early start and quick play, we finished before 11 AM. The bar had just opened and we were the first there. I offered to by drinks for Doug Ruttle and the owner David Griffin, the only people I could find besides my friend Brian, but it was a little early for them. So Brian & I had a toast, & I went home with a few dollars left in my pocket.

My Dad played for ever (many years in Titleist Country as he played Kittansett in Marion, MA) and never had a "Hole In One", but my Mom did on the 14th hole at Kittansett. My Dad always used Titleist clubs and balls and my first new set was the DCI's

Although I have tried many different golf balls, using the Titleist always has given me a feel of confidence while playing. As we all know, the more the brain feels good about the game, the better we are likely to play.

Thank you for making such great products. They have definitely helped me with this great sport!
