Last night of regular league before playoffs and we play the #1 place team. My dad and I always have a great time playing together, earlier in the year he sunk his 3rd hole in one while subbing for me on my other league☺️ Complete with a picture sent to me, while out of town on a friends golf trip. I started the round playing very well for my 4 handicap. Everything seemed to be clicking, and the dreaded par threes were next. We had just talked about getting through them 1over as being a victory... My flight is so high I find it usually impossible to not come spinning back down the steep green front, so with the tees back I decided to club up and take on the sucker pin location, this green is a real heartbreaker, hit slightly thin I thought damn this is gonna slip over and bounce down the road haha, but it was dead at the pin nonetheless, it's a little elevated on the top tier so I didn't see it "go in", only that it didn't look normal after the first hop. It had landed about a foot from the whole and taken a big bite following the flagstick as a backstop into the cup.... On the tee my opponents and dad were all saying "it went in! It went in!" I was so excited but kept telling them don't get me all happy till I see its in the hole.... Sure enough I lost my mind! One of the best parts was seeing my dad laughing and smiling at me...and the high school kids all on the practice greens stopping and watching my outbursts haha... All the congratulations from my league was crazy, and after sending a pic of the ball and news to all my other golfing and work friends, the congrats were like icing... I've worked for this since I started playing 23 yrs ago... My 9yo son plays and ,during a round, a week ago with dad and I, nearly got his on a 150 yd downhill par 3... I had told him after his close call, I really hoped to get one before him haha. He seemed just as excited as me when I told him... Thanks again Titleist! Best ball ever!
