My first hole in one! - Kevin L.

It was my first round of 2015. I played with my dad, uncle and brother-in-law. After a par on #9, we made the turn at Phillips Park Golf Course in Aurora, Illinois. Being a windy day and about the same distance and wind direction as a prior par 3, I pulled the same club as that prior par 3: 7 iron. Playing the wind, I told my foursome, "Watch how far right I am going to start this."

Sure enough, I hit it right where I wanted. A slight draw furthered by the wind began turning right at the pin. We watch, we listen ... and we hear the distinct sound of a ball hitting the pin. Seeing no ricochet, my brother-in-law says, "I think it's in!"

As we approach the green, I still don't see my ball ... and begin to really believe it's in. I go to the hole, look down, and there it is ... the Titleist #4 staring at me. I didn't know what to do so I collapsed on the green!

About 177 yards, to an elevated green, over water, on a windy day, slam dunked into the cup, no damage to the lip of the hole ... a truly PERFECT shot!
