My First Hole in One

I celebrated my 60th Birthday on Monday August 6, 2012. The following Friday, August 10th, I was playing in a scramble with my brother and two friends. I teed up a Titleist from a box my son had given me on Father's Day this year. The distance to the center of the green was about 134, but the pin was up. I planned to hit short of the green and bounce it to the cup. But as luck would have it I hit that Titleist flush and it landed about 20 inches past and slightly to the right of the pin and it spun back from the pitch mark into the cup. It happened to be one of the greens designated as a closet to the hole contest. Of course I won that one. We also won the scramble by one stroke to make the ace even sweeter. It made for a pretty memorable birthday week. I told my son to keep getting those Titleists for Fathers Day, birthdays and Christmas.
