I had pulled a muscle in my back and hadn't played golf all week. I went out this afternoon to try to see if my back would allow me to play. After hitting some I decided to play a few holes. A friend of mine met me on the second hole. I was playing surprisingly well considering the injury. Actually think I eased up on my swing, which was a bonus. I hit my tee shot on a 136 yd par 3 # 11. The pin was on the back. I knew the shot was going to be close. A group that was on the cart path near the green saw the ball hit about 3 feet from the pin and roll in the cup. I couldn't see where it was for the shadow in the late afternoon. I heard them yell "its in the hole!!" A footnote to this is that I had cobalt implants in both shoulders in 2007. I haven't played golf in 5 years prior to rejoining our club in July. Great motivation to keep working on my game.
