My first hole in one EVER

I have been enjoying my new Titleist ProV1x golf balls since I got them about a month ago. Since then I have seen a marked improvement in my game. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not a great golfer. Truly, I'm a weekend end duffer.

That said, on this past Sunday I was playing with two good friends (Mark Stintzi and Steve Filo) at University Park Country Club in my hometown of Sarasota, Florida. The round was generally like most others I typically play. A number of good shots were negated by the well placed poor shot. Then all of a sudden something very special happened. I walked up to the 11th hole. A 176 yard par three, and pulled out my (new favorite) 3-4 hybrid and let fly. As the ball headed straight for the flag; I knew I had hit it well. As the three of us approached the green we couldn't see the ball. My friends were convinced it was heading straight for the pin. As we got about two thirds of the way there, Mark (who was my cart mate) got out of the cart. He and Steve walked up to the flag. I wasn't saying anything, and there was no way I was getting out of the cart. They both looked into the cup and immediately raised their arms in celebration. I had my first hole in one EVER; and of course I was buying.

In my wildest imagination, I never thought I would experience a hole in one. I had really never even come close. It has been a very special Labor Day weekend and I just wanted to say thank you.
