I received a new set of AP1's for Christmas from my wife with the help of my son-in-law Daniel Cupit. I've not been able to play a lot of golf since the start of the year because of lousy weather and a busy schedule. I had a pretty good round going with several pars in the past few holes when all of a sudden I triple bogeyed a par 5 and then doubled the next par 4 after a wonderful opening drive. I wasn't happy so I just quickly marched up to the tee, put down my Titleist ProV1x, lined it up and hit a nice high arcing shot with my new pitching wedge. The ball bounced softly a couple of times, rolled a few feet and then disappeared. I thought "oh great, it rolled off the back" but then my buddy Jerry Taylor , one of our foursome, says "hey JK I think that went in the hole!!!" I'm thinking he's just trying to be encouraging so I said "sure Jerry, Thanks alot!!" Jerry insisted he saw it go in. Well right then the beverage cart girl who had been hanging back behind the green comes rolling up and says "hey did one of you guys just hit it in the hole?" I laughed and pointed at the two of them and said "hey do you guys know each other or something?" One of the other guys in the foursome promptly bought four shots of tequila and put them on ice just in case.....when we walked up there was the ball in the hole!!!! I couldn't believe it!! Thanks to my new clubs I carded my best round ever at Cowboy's that day!!
