My Sevenenth Hole In One
By David F On 6 November 2011
On the 4th hold at Saddle Creek, Copperollis, Calif., I was participating in a tournament for Operating Nurses Foundation Tournament, October 22, 2011.
The hole-in-one on #4 was worth $20,000.00. I happened to make a hole-in-one for for 20 Kahunas!!! The club I used was a Titleist AP-2 6-Iron and the ball was a Titleist Pro-V 1.
I was second to hit, choked down on the 6, played it back in my stance, and tried to hit a baby hook. I flushed it and the ball did just what I wanted and landed about 10-feet from the hole and nature took its course!
My partner, Kevin, yelled that it went in the hole, but I couldn't see it. So when we drove up to the green I know that three of my partners balls where they landed, but I didn't see mine. Before I could stop the golf cart Kevin jumped out of the cart and ran toward the hole and he turned around and started yelling, "IT'S IN THE HOLE!!!" I started jumping up and down myself.
The rest is history.
