New Years Day Hole in 1
By Christopher H On 2 January 2012
New years day 2012 I got up and it was gorgeous out in Ma, Almost 55 degrees, and no snow on the ground. Normally this time of year the courses are all closed in new england. So a friend and I decided to take advantage of the oportunity and play a New Years Day round at Middleton Golf Course. On the 8th hole a player who joined us on the 5th hole recomended i take a steeper back swing to prevent the hook the sometimes plagues my iron shots. On the 9th hole I took his advice. I took out my 7 iron for the 165 yard par 3, teed up the ball lined up my shot and went for it. It went straigt at the pin but we could not see it land. As we approached the green, my ball was nowhere in sight. I joked to my friend to check the hole. He peered into the cup and began clapping and yelling. I thought he was joking, but sure enough my Titleist Pro V1x was sitting in the bottom of the cup. What a way to start off the new year!
