No See Hole in One
By Chuck S On 14 November 2011
Playing in the fall, in the morning makes seeing the ball difficult on some holes on our course. This is one of those holes. From tee to flag was 172 yards by laser, about right for my 5 hybrid. My shot was straight and long enough to hit a grass mound in the left front corner of the green. We saw it hit, but that was the last we saw of the ball. My group helped look for the ball, we all assumed it had gone left of the green or rolled off the back like many balls do on this green. I kept looking as my partners started to get ready to putt. To expedite, I was going to drop and finish the hole when one of the other players about to pull the flag ask what kind of ball I hit, “a Titleist marked with blue dots and a blue line”, “it’s in the hole”. The ball most have hit that mound and went right toward the hole, we never saw it until it was taken from the hole.
